The Conservatorio di Musica Arrigo Boito counts among its courses of study (Bachelor, Master and pre-academic level) a wide range of areas, from early music to contemporary music, as well as jazz and pop. About 900 students and 150 faculty members are active inside, taking advantage of several agreements with enterprises and institutional partners in the local area (Teatro Regio di Parma, Arturo Toscanini Foundation, University of Parma, La Casa della Musica, as well as local, regional and national Authorities), as well as with concert seasons and festivals in Italy.
The Conservatorio has always been at the forefront of Italian institutions in the international activities: it has been one of the first Italian conservatories to obtain the Diploma Supplement Label; participated in IPs such as "Haydn, The Progressive ", coordinated by J. Haydn Konservatorium, Eisenstadt; supports the participation of students and staff in European cooperation projects as a key to the overall international strategy; has active cooperation in exchanging students and teachers with USA HEIs; schedules and produces both concerts and opera performances, theoretical and historical research, often in strict relation with the performance, such as the rediscovery of composers and repertories; develops contemporary music, also in relation with new technologies.
The system used to assess the quality is the Evaluating Unit, which reports the assessment results directly to the Education Minister, as determined in the Statute.
