The Vicenza Conservatory "Arrigo Pedrollo" is recognized for its continued academic, artistic and performing initiatives. The Conservatory of Vicenza offers 1st Level and 2nd Level ECTS degree programmes as well as Pre-Academic courses in all subject areas. As well as high-level degree programmes in traditional Classical music, specialized degree programmes in Early Music, Indian Music and Jazz studies also distinguish the Conservatory of Vicenza.
Located in the former 16th century monastery of San Domenico, the Conservatory has become a modern and fully equipped facility that allows for numerous educational activities and artistic productions thanks to the extensive restoration completed in 1998. 63 halls and classrooms comprise the property where 111 professors teach over 150 courses offered to around 600 selected students. Two auditoriums and the beautifully decorated 16th century San Domenico church provide in-house performance spaces. Concerts organized by the Conservatory of Vicenza are regularly presented in venues such as the world-famous Teatro Olimpico (just a two minute walk) and Villa Cordellina. The Conservatory of Vicenza presents numerous productions each year involving students and teachers from several areas: orchestra, choir, large and small ensembles and solo performances.
